Life Balance is something that we all strive to achieve and maintain. Successful people realize that keeping your life in balance requires flexibility and skills to adapt to the new people and events in
your life.

The following are Five Effective Life Balance Strategies which you could start using today!

Values Discovery – Tap into your True Values
As we gain more clarity about our values, our values serve as guideposts on our life journey. Challenging decisions become clearer when we ask ourselves value based questions: “Will this decision honour my values? What values will I be honouring by choosing A or B?

Set Boundaries
Protect your time so that you have room for all of the elements of your life. Set boundaries and honour your commitments. For example: Set specific work hours, do not work while on vacation, put personal development time into your schedule (fitness class, date night, etc.), Sunday evening family dinners, time for friends. You need to control your time and not allow someone else control it for you.

Conquer Procrastination
Break intimidating goals/jobs into smaller pieces so they will feel less overwhelming. Gather the supplies and equipment you will need. Work on one of the smaller tasks at a time. By doing a smaller step each day you will be able to enjoy your accomplishments and soon you will find yourself at the end of what was once an intimidating task. What a great feeling!

Self Care – Make Healthy Choices
Making healthy choices to cope with the stress of our busy lives is essential. Poor choices such as overeating, excessive alcohol or being passive abusive only mask our problems and often they make them worse. Make healthy choices such as good nutrition, physical activity, assertiveness, relaxation techniques and humour to cope with stress.

Be Positive
Believe that you CAN achieve life balance! Let your positive attitude show in all of your actions. Celebrate your accomplishments. You will be energized by all of the positive energy which will be attracted to you!

This month’s workshops include: Effective Goal Setting & Achievement Strategies and Key Stress Busters at Loblaws, Life Balance with wonderful Mothers’ Groups as well as numerous Private Workshops.

Inspiration
I am incredibly passionate about Life Coaching!

In September my youngest of 6 amazing children will be entering Grade 1. I have really enjoyed being at home with my children for the last 8 years. My love for an enriched life started me on my journey to become a Life Coach. I had had a wonderful, very fulfilling career for 10 years in the corporate world but it just didn’t seem like the right fit for me anymore.

My dear friend started to see a life coach and every time we spoke she told me that she could clearly see me in her coach’s role. With a lot of research, personal reflection and a deep sense of my core values I realized that my strong interpersonal skills and my wide array of life experience would enable me to be an effective life coach. I have never looked back. Every day is full of excitement and new opportunities!

I am inspired by the amazing success of my clients. As my clients are achieving their goals and enriching their lives I feel that it is such a gift to be a part of their success. The lives of their loved ones and the people around them are also enriched. My wish is that each of you will have the opportunity to experience fulfillment of personal goals and an enriched, balanced life.

I am forever grateful to my family and friends for championing me in my effort to help others to also achieve more fulfilled lives!
